Fight Tactics

It is hugely important that boxers set their fight tactics prior to the fight as this can often mean the difference between winning and losing. Here is a further explanation of each of the fight tactics:

Go For Knockout: Drastically increases power and aggressive tactics. Drastically decreases agility and toughness. Very high proneness to cuts.

Fight Inside: Increases power and aggression. Decreases agility and toughness. High proneness to cuts.

Mixed: Does not affect any of the boxers base skills. Average proneness to cuts.

Fight Outside: Increases agility and toughness. Decreases power and aggression. Low proneness to cuts..

Stay Out Of Trouble: Drastically increases agility and toughness. Very low proneness to cuts.

Fighting Dirty: When a boxer ‘fights dirty’, he greatly increases the potential for cutting his opponent. Fighting dirty involves the excessive use of elbows, and the clashing of heads as a means of developing and aggravating cuts. The chances of cutting an opponent are greatly influenced by the opponent’s cut-resistance statistic.

Beware though, because dirty fighters are not popular and can be warned and eventually disqualified.

The chances of being spotted and warned by the referee are influenced by the ‘dirty’ boxers charm and luck skills.

Taunting: Some boxers can attempt to affect their opponents psychologically by taunting them. The advantage to this is that a taunted fighter is more likely to lose his cool and his so his technique is likely to suffer.

A boxer who is successfully taunting his opponent will be harder to hit as he commands the ring and as his opponents agility slips. If, however, a boxers attempt at taunting fails, he will be easier to hit as he leaves himself open to an angry opponent!

The success rate of taunting is influenced by the taunting boxers age and charm skill. The older he is, the more likely he is to be successful due to the mental experience that only age can bring…
